I just want to say that "what you see" is a faboulous album. I have played for my danish friends and everyone has just been blown away. I nice to know that "new" gifted singer-songwriters are still to be discovered.

December 22, 2007

Kevin,
Thanks for your comments. I've had a full performance schedule these past few weeks of Company Parties, Private Family Functions, and of course, various Church Programs. Now that Christmas is finally here, (actually it kind of snuck up on me, I'd better get out today and get some shopping done, don't ya think?) the 'concert well' has run dry. However, when there is a concert on the calendar, I will do better at advertising it on this sight. And yes, I do still do firesides in the area.
Thanks for listening and Merry Christmas!

Jeff

Kevin

December 19, 2007

Hi Jeff,

Kudos. Can you publish your concert schedule on your website. Also, I see you have done firesides in the past. Is that something you still do in the northern Utah area?

Jeff

Hello !! This is my first time to write to you. You must be surprised to have an e-mail from someone you don't know. I found your address on the web. Yesterday, I bought your CD "What you see ". This is my best album in 2007. Your song is so beautiful. I was greatly touched by your voice and your music. Especially,"When We Love" is best tunes. This song remind me Peter Cetera. I'm Japanese, so I'm poor at English. I can't express to you what I mean. Thank you for your time to read this mail. Thank you for your music !! I'm very glad to see you and your music !! Cheers your perfect songs !! From Japan Tokyo Takafumi Eguro

Hello from one of your greatest fans. We are so "on" for women's conference. Our stake relief society president was visiting our branch today and she is thrilled and amazed you are coming. I will call you with details. I called the YW stake president tonight and told her you would be willing to do fireside. She too was extremely excited. I sent her your Bio and website. She is getting with the Stake on Thursday at their meeting to make sure they are okay with having an activity. She couldn't believe you would be willing to do this for us in our little part of the "vineyard." We don't get to have people like you Jeff in our neck of the woods. You are turly a gift. Jeff, thank you for being you. I love you!

Hey PT!
Thanks for the note. You DO get alot of credit.
The sax just wasn't meant to be (How could I sing and play at the same time?). The dent in my guitar has kinda given it some character (a la Willie Nelson), and I've always viewed the foreign object in my ear as nothing more than a blood brother ritual.
I'd love to go back and do it all over again.

PTWedgy

May 4, 2006

Hey Bro, I got thinking... In spite of my busting your brand new [toy] saxaphone over my knee the very day you got it, nearly cramming scissors through the back of your guitar (tink), and dropping 'foreign' objects into your well-tuned ear, your determination to make music never wavered. Can I then take some small amount of credit for your determination?

Jeff

May 1, 2006

Mountains of thanks to you, Presidente!

Jeff, I listen to you music every day. Thanks for the hard work and inspriation. I like the counsel "make a commitment and just do it" from your buddy. I'm doing the same as I branch off on my own.

When the office is open I will have to work out something with you so that my clients can get a copy of your CD as a gift from me. I will let you know this summer! Thanks again.

Thank you so much, Julie, for leaving a note and buying the CD! I hope you continue to enjoy it. Trudi is trying hard to remember her terrible 2's, but can't quite pull it off. She does say "hello" back, though.

Take care and thanks again.

March 9, 2006

Dear Jeff,

I was recently at a funeral for my Aunt Zola and your in-laws Carolyn and Wess and Dennis were there. Dennis is my cousin. They were all telling us about your great CD and encouraged me to come to your web site. Your CD sounds great. I will be buying it. I know your wife Trudy. I am sure she doesn't remember me because the last time I saw her she was a little girl. I spent time with her at her grandma Sybrowsky's house in Castro Valley Ca. before Ann died. She was about 2 years old. Aunt Emeline keeps us up to date on what is going on with Carolyn and all your family. Please tell Trudy hello and I will be enjoying your music.
Sincerely,

Julie Lund (a cousin on the Johnson side. My parents are Bevan and Ruth)

Jeff

February 19, 2006

Well, this just solidified your position as favorite aunt!
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a note, Marge. I don't know if I deserve a "wonderful" title, but coming from the expert in wonderfulness, it sounds pretty good. It would be hard to find a more loving, caring, generous soul than you.

We love you right back!

February 18, 2006

I could join with Jerry Johnston if I just
had his ability to express myself. You are
wonderful - not only in your music success-
but to me more wonderful in my life.
Love you much

I love the memories and I love you too!
See ya.

Hi Sherri,
It was fun getting a note from the one who believed in me from day 1, and helped get this big ball rolling!
Thanks for all. You're great!

Jeff

February 12, 2006

Oh no! I'm so confused. I happened to notice that the last 2 entries claimed to be my biggest fan. And, as you know, my mother "makes me feel like SHE'S my biggest fan". Who can I trust?!
Okay, I have the solution. The next person to leave another note in the guestbook is the "official" biggest fan.
Good luck to all!

Jeff,
Your such an awesome person. I love your CD, some songs just made me want to cry. You will be famous soon and forget the little teller that once was at Syracuse with you, but I am glad that I got to get to work with you. You are quite the character but also have touch and influenced many people's lives. You can always get everyone smiling, even when there is a lot of contention. Love the CD though and keep making more!!! Say hi to Trudi and Connor. C-ya.

Hey Jenny!
Sweet message! Thanks for the kind words and the good-lookin Christmas card. You guys are growin! (well, you know what I mean) I'm happy you like the tunes. I agree that it's about time, but thanks to comments like yours, it makes it seem even more like it was worth waiting until all the cards fell into place.
When I do get up there, you'll not only get back-stage passes, but I'll even let you run the fog machine.
We do miss having you guys around. The neighborhood's not quite as fun without you, but we hope that your holidays are magical!

Yo,Yo, Jeffery, how are you?? thank you for your cd's. I hate to say it, but it's about stinkin time. Can you say, LOVE IT!! I am in love with every song!! Brady just chuckels every time my boys play Chilean nights.(Their favorite song) It reminds him exactly of his mission. I also have a good friend up here in Idaho that can't have children and are getting their pappers in for adoption, I gave her one of your cd's for christmas, and she said you were speaking right to her. She loved it. Man, I am lucky to have known you. Some day, Old Johnny boy is going to be asking you for a loan. It's going to be big, I am so happy for you and Trudi. When you come up to Idaho to perform, I would like back stage passes, and you always have a free place to stay. We miss the little town of Syracuse and all our old friends. Take care and don't forget us when your known all around the world. Lot's of love to you guys and have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Take care, The Cottles.
